Itochu Group import raw sugar and process them by ourself and mainly supply to Japanese companies. Itochu Food Sales and Marketing Co.,Ltd is the domestic sales window. We deliver to manufacturers of beverage, confectionery, bakery and dairy and others.
Nowadays, as more and more people are becoming conscious about their health, we aim to comprehensively supply not only sugar and saccharified products, but also organic sugar, sugar alcohols, and functional sweeteners.

Flour

We supply wheat and pre-mixed flour manufacured by leading Japanese milling companies to a wide range of customers including manufacturers of baked goods, noodles and confectionary. and supply to confectionery, bakery, and noodle manufacturers. Leveraging the strength of handling a wide variety of raw materials, we also provide services such as food menu and product development and proposals, product sales, and market research according to customer needs.

Oil and Fat

We procure edible fats (vegitable oil, frying oil) and processed oil from wide range of oil processors and supply them to mainly Japanese food manufacturers, fat processors, confectionery and bakery manufacturers, foodservice industry, and to the convenience store industry.

In Japanese market, where health consciousness is increasing, the market is focusing more on natural ingredients. To match the demand, we will continue to focus on healthy oil such as high oleic acid vegetable oils and imported oils.

Cocoa

We import cocoa beans from various countries around the world, including West Africa and Central and South America. Proudly, we are one of the companies holding top share in Japan.

Improving the lives of cocoa farmers and to secure the sustainable chocolate industry is what we are committed to. We are strengthening supply of certificated cocoa beans such as Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance as well as our unique sustainable cocoa program under collaboration with our customers. Nuts

We import various nuts and dried fruits such as almonds, walnuts, and cashews from major production areas around the world. We also offer and provide additional value to the products such as locally processed almonds, domestically selected products, and Rainforest Alliance certified nuts.

Sesame

We import edible sesame seeds mainly from Africa, Central and South America, and Asia. We offer a wide range of sesame seeds, from versatile types to those with high health functionality, as well as Fair Trade certified and traceable sesame seeds. We can propose wide range of origin, variety, quality control, packaging, and inventory management that meet your needs.

Dairy Products

We supply wide range of dairy products from all over the world including Japan, that can be used as main ingredients for beverage, ice cream, confectionery and bakery items. We strive to satisfy our customers by introducing products that matches their requirements in terms of price, use, and origin. To achieve this, we are actively engaged in sourcing new production areas and developing new products.

Beverage Materials

We carefully select tea ingredients from best production area in Japan and arrange the tea flavor and package in to a form that perfectly match our customers needs. With our tea processing partners, we are continuously enhancing our processing technique. We also import oversea tea products, such as tea leaves and grains mainly from Asia. We originally arrange the raw ingredients in to the flavor in to our customer's preference. The process will be done either at the exporting countries or in Japan.

We also work with high-quality rooibos suppliers from South Africa and hold the top share for rooibos for beverage manufacturers. Recently, we have also started importing malt for craft beer.

Starch

We supply functional modified starch, which is indispensable for modern processed foods such as bread, noodles, fried foods, confectionery, processed meat products, processed seafood products, sauces, and dressings, from around the world. In addition to our trading functions, we also have starch manufacturing capabilities, and we are equipped with specialized personnel for product development, quality assurance, logistics, and marketing.
